1965 Mustang

1965 MUSTANG "I love that car!" Contest

Being the horse lover that I am and always have been, it was only natural that I chose a 1966 Ford Mustang as my favorite car about 40 years ago. The years went by, my children were growing up, and my little pony car wasn't big enough for the family. I reluctantly made the decision to sell my Mustang, and regretted it every day! I always wanted another Mustang.

In October, 2006 Willy and I were looking on the Internet for a 1965 Mustang, and found my little dream car in Mead, Colorado. We drove up there, bought the car, and have spent many hours since then "grooming my pony".

Many thanks to Tim Blake for his "veterinary" advice and Mustang expertise. I love my 1965 Mustang and feel it possesses the original, pure Mustang spirit. I have donated money to many horse rescue facilities, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Native American schools, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Blue Star Mothers, Paralyzed American Veterans, and other charitable fundraisers over the years. Now I want to help raise money for the Hospice Program at Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colorado.

I'll be showing my 1965 Mustang at the Durango Motor Expo on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Please check out the car show, and vote for my pretty little turquoise-and-white Mustang. Votes are $1 donation each. You can donate as much as you want! Checks are also welcome, made out to Mercy Health Foundation with "Hospice/DME" in the memo line. You can vote early and often for this great cause! Thank you! Dixie Baker (Pecosa@sisna.com)
